In this 5 - week program, students will solidify learning from Math 8 and be introduced to some of the main topics in Algebra 1. We will cover Linear Functions, Inequalities, Systems of Equations and Inequalities, Exponential Functions, and Exponent Rules and Rational Exponents.
Algebra 1 is typically a challenging course for lots of reasons. The purpose of this course is to pre-teach and expose students to topics they will see during the course of Algebra 1, and give them the tools and prior knowledge to deepen their understanding, instead of learning these topics for the first time.
This course includes:
2 meetings a week over 5 weeks(on Zoom)
Collaboration with 10 - 15 other students
Google Classroom Access
Guided Notes
Practice Problems
Weekly Quizzes
Recorded Zoom Sessions
Access to course materials through the academic school year.
This tutoring is only offered while school is in session (school start and end dates vary by district). Students will have an opportunity to receive one-on-one homework help, study skills, quiz and test prep, and targeted support for any current misconceptions or any prior knowledge not fully mastered.
